This project with Byju’s Tuition Centre included civil works and interior fit-outs across two locations: a 5000 sq. ft site in M. Palayam, Vellore and a 4300 sq.ft site in Bommasandra, Bangalore. We delivered this project in collaboration with CBRE, one of the top PMCs in South India.
The main focus of our interior planning work at Byju’s Centre was to provide an efficient and engaging learning environment for the enrolled students. While we wanted to ensure that collaborative activities happened seamlessly, we also took care that the individual focus zones retained their identity.

For a tuition centre, the reception area provides a critical first impression and has to look welcoming for students and their guardians. Therefore, our primary objective was to create an inviting environment that immediately puts students at ease and makes their parents feel confident about the professionalism of the centre.
After all, there are important decisions to be made, and the overall vibe should be of an institution that treats visitors with warmth and professionalism.
A prominent feature in the reception area is the wall painted in Byju’s signature purple, which displays the “BYJU’S Tuition Centre” logo in white. This is visually striking, and the modern reception counter with a light wood front and white top is functional and approachable.
The lounge is minimal, not taking up too much space while allowing the visitors to wait comfortably for their turn to speak to the counsellor.
While providing clean, functional areas, the glass wall gives a sense of openness by separating the reception space from an adjacent counselling meeting space.
Overall, the design is minimalist and clean, utilizing a largely white colour scheme to create an overall soothing and orderly environment.
The counselling suites provide a private area where respectful conversations can occur between families, students, and educators.
Each of the four rooms has been carefully planned to provide a setting of trust and confidentiality. The acoustics are intended to allow open communication and comfortable furnishings, giving all participants a relaxed feeling.

We have optimized the layout to accommodate 1-5 classrooms, and each room is designed to maximize flexibility and student engagement.
This classroom is designed in such a way that the entire class can focus on the instructor. As we know, Byju’s is renowned for its emphasis on technology integration in education. Hence, we integrated a large, wall-mounted interactive display along with the regular chalkboard.
Our effort was to create a learning space that combines traditional and digital tools, and we managed to blend them seamlessly.
With a light colour palette mostly composed of white and light wood tones, the classroom preserves a simple and understated look.
Modern classroom furniture and lots of natural light help improve the learning environment.

The hallway serves as the connection corridor node connecting various areas within the centre. Multiple doors line this hallway, each leading to classrooms, offices, and other functional spaces.
The corridor keeps its authentic minimalist look with a white colour that covers the walls, light-coloured flooring, and a simple ceiling with visible ductwork and lighting.
A separate staff area is carefully designed for simple classroom access to guarantee seamless operations. This dedicated space allows teachers and administrators to move efficiently between their preparation area and teaching spaces while maintaining privacy from student zones.
The interior also integrates essential amenities, including a sales room for business operations, a fully functional pantry for staff convenience, and restrooms designed for students and staff, ensuring practicality without compromising comfort.
All the spaces have been designed with usability and hygiene in mind and keeping with contemporary architectural styles.
The Byju’s brand identity is also maintained throughout the center through color and logo placement. The layout is designed to encourage collaboration and productivity, and it is done in a way that is unique to specific needs of the centre.
Overall the design effectively integrates branding, functionality, and technology to create a learning experience that stands out.
